Implants

Dental implants are a permanent solution for teeth that have fallen out or have been extracted. Dental implants are small titanium posts that mimic the root of your previous tooth and are placed into the bone, below the area of your missing tooth.

Titanium is the perfect metal for a tooth implant because it is biologically safe, extremely durable, and has been used in medicine for many years. The titanium forms a bond with your bone, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth that allows you to eat the foods you enjoy with issue.

Replacement teeth are created specifically for your mouth and they fit securely on the hollow titanium post. People have been able to enjoy the benefits of tooth implants for many years and the industry has seen a very positive 93% success rate.

Procedure Typically the placement of dental implants will involve two surgical procedures.

The first procedure involves placing the titanium posts into your jaw bone in the area where the missing tooth was. Then we will need to give the bone some time to form a biological bond with the titanium post, which can take anywhere from three to six months.

Once you return to our office, Dr. Marriott or Dr. Josh will take x-rays of your jaw to make sure the post has successfully bonded with your bone. From there, they will take impressions of your mouth that will be used to create your custom crowns or dentures that fit securely on the dental implants.

Your new restorations will look and feel just like your natural teeth and you'll be able to enjoy the foods you love without worrying about your new teeth falling out!
